FAQs

A quick guide to help you on your journey

Who is health coaching for?

 Nourish Forward Coaching supports adults who are seeking more energy, support with or prevention of chronic illness, weight loss, long-term health, or confidence navigating everyday food choices through nutrition and lifestyle changes. Many clients are thoughtful, busy individuals seeking clear, evidence-based guidance that feels realistic and sustainable.

What makes Nourish Forward Coaching different from other approaches?

 This work is shaped by a unique combination of lived experience, formal nutrition education, decades in education, and close proximity to clinical medicine. The approach emphasizes prevention, clarity, and sustainable change—without extremes, rigid rules, or one-size-fits-all solutions.

Do you use meal plans, or how do you provide food guidance?

 I provide practical, supportive food guidance that fits into real life. I share sample meals, simple food combinations, and flexible frameworks that help you understand what nutritious eating looks like so you can make confident, sustainable food choices aligned with your goals.

Why does Nourish Forward coaching address more than nutrition?

 Nutrition works best when supported by adequate sleep, manageable stress, and regular movement. Considering these areas together helps guide realistic, sustainable changes that support overall health.

I’m very busy—how much time does meal preparation typically take?

Healthy eating does not require hours in the kitchen. Coaching focuses on simplifying meals, reducing decision fatigue, and using efficient strategies so food fits into a busy life. Many clients find meal preparation becomes easier and often less time consuming over time.

How does this approach work in social situations or when eating out?

Social situations are addressed directly in coaching. We explore practical strategies for navigating restaurants, gatherings, travel, and celebrations in a way that supports your health without feeling restrictive or socially isolating

How is coaching structured and what does it cost?

 Coaching is offered in 3- and 6-month programs, designed to support meaningful, lasting change. I also offer single session coaching that can be customized to address the area you are targeting. Pricing details are discussed during the Introductory Wellness Call to ensure coaching is a good fit for your goals and needs.

How do I know I’m getting the nutrients I need?

Coaching includes education around nutrient adequacy and food quality, helping you understand how to meet nutritional needs through everyday food choices. The goal is confidence and clarity, not guesswork or tracking overload.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Nourish Forward Coaching, your time and commitment are valued, and the same respect is extended to mine. The following policy is designed to support fairness, clarity, and consistency for all clients.

Session Cancellations and Rescheduling

Coaching sessions must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment time.

• Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice
• Missed appointments
• Late arrivals that prevent a full session

will be considered a completed session and are non-refundable.

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time to respect subsequent appointments. The session will be considered delivered as scheduled.

Refund Policy

All coaching sessions and packages are non-refundable once purchased. This includes single sessions, multi-session packages, and longer-term coaching programs.

If unforeseen circumstances arise, unused sessions may be rescheduled within the agreed-upon coaching timeframe, subject to availability.

Package and Program Commitment

Coaching packages and programs are designed to support progress over time and require commitment from both coach and client. For this reason, packages may not be paused, transferred, or refunded once underway.

Exceptional Circumstances

In rare cases of medical emergency or significant hardship, accommodations may be considered at the discretion of Nourish Forward Coaching. Any exceptions will be handled thoughtfully and on a case-by-case basis.

1. SESSION TIMING AND SCHEDULING

1.1. The coaching package includes four (4) sessions per month. Each session is scheduled in advance and has a duration of (40) minutes.  The first session is longer in duration and is (75) minutes.

1.2. Between scheduled coaching sessions, the Client may receive “post-session recaps” to reinforce learning and track progress. This may include journaling, reflections, or other resources to enhance the benefits of Coaching Services.

1.3. If questions or situations arise between sessions that require timely support, the Client may submit inquiries or documents via their private client portal. The Coach will provide confidential guidance in response as promptly as reasonably possible.

1.4. Time is of the essence in the performance of the Coaching Services. Accordingly, the following rescheduling and late-arrival terms shall apply:

1.4.1. Advance Notice. The Client shall provide not less than twenty-four (24) hours’ prior written notice if the Client is unable to attend a scheduled coaching session. Upon receipt of such notice, the Coach may, in the Coach’s sole discretion and subject to availability, permit the session to be rescheduled within the Program Term.

1.4.2. Late Arrival. If the Client arrives more than ten (10) minutes after the scheduled start time of a coaching session, the Coach shall have the right, in the Coach’s sole discretion, to (i) proceed with the session for the remaining time, (ii) reschedule the session once as a courtesy, or (iii) deem the session completed and forfeited. Any rescheduled session must occur within the Program Term and shall be subject to the Coach’s availability.

1.5. The Client acknowledges that consistent participation is material to the effectiveness of the Coaching Services. Accordingly, the following shall apply:

1.5.1. Two Missed Sessions. Upon the Client’s failure to attend two (2) scheduled coaching sessions without timely notice, the Parties shall confer in good faith regarding the Client’s continued participation and recommitment to the coaching process.

1.5.2. Three Missed Sessions. Upon the Client’s failure to attend three (3) scheduled coaching sessions, whether consecutive or non-consecutive, the Coach may terminate this Agreement immediately upon written notice to the Client. In such event, all unpaid fees shall remain due and payable, and no refunds, credits, or extensions shall be issued for any unused or missed sessions.

1.6. The Client acknowledges and agrees that coaching sessions may be delivered via phone, video conferencing, or other online platforms as determined by the Coach. The Coach shall not be responsible for any technical failures, interruptions, or connectivity issues that may occur during sessions, including but not limited to internet outages, software malfunctions, or device failures. The Client is responsible for maintaining access to the necessary technology and a suitable environment to participate in coaching sessions.

2. COACH’S RIGHT TO TERMINATE

2.1. The Coach reserves the right to terminate this Agreement, in whole or in part, upon written notice to the Client, if any of the following occurs:

2.1.1. Failure to Pay. The Client fails to make any payment when due and such failure is not cured within any applicable grace period set forth in this Agreement or offered by the Coach;

2.1.2. Non-Attendance or Non-Participation. The Client repeatedly misses scheduled coaching sessions, arrives late without justification, or otherwise fails to meaningfully participate in the Coaching Services;

2.1.3. Inappropriate Conduct. The Client engages in conduct that is inappropriate, abusive, threatening, harassing, or otherwise disrespectful toward the Coach or any third party involved in the Coaching Services;

2.1.4. Unsuitability or Safety Concerns. The Coach, in the Coach’s reasonable professional judgment, determines that continuation of the Coaching Services is no longer appropriate, effective, or safe for the Client;

2.1.5. Services Beyond Scope. The Client requires services or care that exceed the scope of the Coaching Services as defined in this Agreement, including medical, mental health, or therapeutic services;

2.1.6. Breach of Confidentiality or Misuse of Materials. The Client breaches confidentiality obligations or misuses, reproduces, or distributes the Coach’s proprietary or intellectual property without authorization.

2.2. Upon termination by the Coach, all outstanding Program Fees shall remain immediately due and payable. Any refunds, if applicable, shall be governed exclusively by the Program’s refund policy. No refunds or credits shall be issued except as expressly provided in such policy.

Lasting change happens through small choices, one step at a time.
