My path to health coaching began over 20 years ago, when my three children faced ongoing health issues. Despite repeated doctor visits, the only solutions offered were more medications, and I felt deeply frustrated that I couldn’t truly help them heal. Wanting something better for my children, I began looking beyond prescriptions and toward the role of nutrition in restoring health.
Around the same time, my husband, a vascular surgeon, shared a truth that stopped me in my tracks: many of the amputations and bypass operations he performs could have been prevented through diet and lifestyle. I was both stunned and profoundly motivated by that realization.
That motivation led me to immerse myself in studying food as medicine in every way I could, through years of research, training, and multiple certifications. With four decades as an educator, I learned that lasting change happens when complex ideas are broken into small, manageable steps. That same approach now guides my work, helping adults move forward with clarity, patience, and confidence.
At Nourish Forward Coaching, I take a thoughtful and individualized approach to health because lasting change does not come from one-size-fits-all solutions.
My work is grounded in evidence-based nutrition and supportive coaching, with a focus on prevention, risk reduction, and long-term well-being. Rather than prescribing rigid rules or quick fixes, I help clients understand why certain choices matter and how to apply them in a way that fits real life.
I meet you where you are. Whether you’re seeking more energy, support with or prevention of chronic illness, weight loss, long-term health, or confidence navigating everyday food choices, my approach is collaborative and practical. Together, we set priorities, create sustainable habits, and focus on meaningful progress, one step at a time.
My emphasis is on education, clarity, and empowerment. I do not diagnose or treat medical conditions, and I encourage clients to work alongside their healthcare providers when appropriate. My role is to support informed decision-making and help you build a strong foundation for health through nutrition and lifestyle choices.
This is not about perfection or extremes. It is about steady, realistic changes that can be maintained over time, so health becomes something you support daily, not something you chase only when it is lost.
